NICCL is a dynamic collaborative environment where library staff come together to discuss and learn about technology. Our members actively share and acquire knowledge to enhance technology literacy within their organizations and communities.
IT Roundtables
We host quarterly IT Roundtable meetings each year with no set agenda. These meetings provide an open forum for members to discuss any technology topics they wish to bring up, fostering spontaneous and valuable exchanges of ideas.
Grant Opportunities
Each year, we offer two grant opportunities to our members: a Professional Development Grant and a Technology Improvement Grant. These grants are awarded by member libraries, ensuring that the recipients are chosen by their peers.
Vendor Discounts
We collaborate with hardware and software vendors to secure discounted pricing for our members.
Member Listserv
We maintain an active member email listserv where members can ask questions, seek recommendations, and share opinions. Other libraries respond, fostering a collaborative and supportive community.
Virtual Member Meetings
We have virtual meetings quarterly to discuss anything and everything NICCL. On occasion we will have vendors come and talk to us about their products, options, and have demonstrations.
Certificates
We strive to provide LEU’s to all of member libraries for Workshops, IT Roundtables, and Special Presentations.
Affordable Pricing
NICCL membership dues are collected annually and typically range from $0-$100 per member library. Each year, the group votes to determine the membership pricing based on planned activities, grants, workshop speakers, and other factors.
